You are cordially invited to the official European Knotentanz Championship 2026 on 17 September 2026 – Jack & Jill Format

Dear dancers, dear fraternity and association brothers and sisters, dear Corps members, Buxen, CVer, student riders, and friends of Knotentanz,

the International Knotentanz Association (IKTA) e.V. cordially invites you to the official European Knotentanz Championship 2026!

Experience an exhilarating evening filled with elegant arm work, rapid knot sequences and spectacular figures. Originating from the French Rock à quatre temps and deeply rooted in academic traditions, we bring the fascination of Knotentanz to the dance floor in its highest form.

“Knotentanz is the masterful symbiosis of classic partner dancing, sophisticated arm work and pure joie de vivre. From smooth turning combinations such as Gordi, Ludwig and Fliege to daring lifts and spectacular figures – this is where student tradition meets modern dynamics.”
